Trip Details

Experience Israel, one of the most ancient civilizations in the world. It is a land of paradox, spirituality and conflict. Venture to the remote Arava Desert to understand how communities are responding to the challenges of climate and conflict.

Increasing of desertification across the Middle East and North Africa will cause tremendous water shortages, food insecurity, sparking increased migrations, deepened poverty, and heightened conflict in the region. Our local partners draw 20 years of on-the-ground experience as sustainability pioneers in one of the most arid deserts in the south of Israel. This unique experience will allow you to participate in sustainable building design, ecological farming, desert life, a kibbutz community, a Bedouin community, and meet with Palestinian peacemakers.
